If you have a lot of conditions to be added while querying the data, use encodedQuery() method instead of multiple addQuery() methods. Give one list of things to your gr, over multiple instructions over time.

addQuery() is much easier to understand. I personally prefer addQuery() for upto 4 conditions, beyond that the code becomes too long to maintain. For complicated queries though, using the filter conditions to build the query and using encoded query is much better option.
